Fire
Jesus promised the disciples that the Holy Ghost would come and that He will baptize them with Holy Ghost and fire (Matt 3:11)
In Acts 2:2, 3 – (The Holy Ghost appeared) unto them cloven tongue like as of fire
– Fire proceeds God’s visitation, God normally visits with fire
For example on mount Carmel, God visited the sacrificed offered for him with fire
Moses encountered a burning bush that burnt but was not consumed
Fire purifies, it cleans, the bible refers to the word of God as silver refined in the furnace of fire purified 7 times
God works in the flame of fire
The Holy Spirit dwells in us, consuming sin in us (Hebrews 12:29, Jer 23:29 )
Fire gives supernatural seal
Fire burns away that which is unwanted (the most perfect method of purification known to mankind is by fire; all filth are burnt by fire )
Fire provides light, remove darkness from our lives, from our heart so that we can see clearly, so that we can discern dark spirits,
Fire symbolizes power; think of combustion engine. God’s fire provides us with power of heaven
